WHEEL AND PINION CUTTING ATTACHMENTWHEEL AND PINION CUTTING ATTACHMENT This attachment was  built to the design by Colin Walton and will fit onto the bed or crosslide of a lathe such as a 10 mm 1660 Pultra or Myford. The cutter would be held on an arbor which would be held in the three jaw chuck or in a collet, the wheel or pinion to be cut is held on the end of the spindle and moved up and down to cut the wheel. A picture detailing the set up is to be found in J Malcolm Wild`s excellent book Wheel and Pinion Cutting in Horology. The attachment is in excellent condition and has the following counts 144. 120. 100, 96. 90. 84. 80. 78. 68. 64. 62. 59. and pinion counts  of 12. 8. 7. These can be divided up even further to give most counts that will be needed. The attachment is shown set up to cut  pinions. A good investment and good value.
