GEORGE ADAMS 8MM HIGH PRECISION LATHE
A stunning example of this rarely seen lathe. Built to very high standards and bearing similar design to the lorch models this has had very little use. This has a center height of 66mm so has an advantage over most standard 8mm lathes. The head stock spindle is threaded to take chucks and is fitted with a protecting ring when collets are being used. All the surfaces are scrapped as is the substantial crosslide. The tailstock is 2 Morse so can take larger drills than average. It also has a FAST and Loose pulley drive countershaft that cold be wall or rear mounted, there is a large base plate/ chip tray that the lathe bolts to (not shown). comes withe the following equipment.
- 70mm 3 jaw chuck
- 80mm independent 4 jaw chuck
- 7 imperial collets
- 25 metric collets
- Tool rest with 2 rests
- Face plate
- Catch plate
- Pulley set
The bearings are in as new condition and will give long and reliable service. The lathe would suit an horologist servicing larger clocks or a large scale model maker. This is collection only. Please call us as it is P.O.A.
