CHRONOS TYPE WHEEL CUTTING ENGINE
This home constructed wheel engine is made in the style of the popular CHRONOS engine that has now become a hard to find item. This one has 15 wheel counts which are as follows:- 144 120 118 113 100 96 90 84 78 72 70 62 54 49 37, this gives a large number of counts when sub divided other division plates could be fitted if required . It is powered by a small sewing machine type motor with a variable speed control and the cutting head features an arbour that will carry Thornton cutters, other spindles can easily be made to take fly cutters, the top slide can be adjusted for centering and will be able to cut up to a 4 inch wheel. It also comes with 3 Thornton cutters M 0.85 T M 0.9 W M 0.75 W and a 5 E Recoil. Ideal for the small repair shop or keen home Horologist. Buyer collects or arranges collection
