A RARE LORCH SCHMIDT SCREW HEAD POLISHER

This screw head polisher is attached to a “D” bed lathe so the polishing of screws and other work pieces can be done in situ without moving the work piece from the lathe headstock. it comes with 23 6mm collets and 2 wheel laps copper and cast iron. The unit can be moved around the bed radially and the collet mandrel moved backwards and forwards to attain the best work position. The mandrel is rotated by hand. We are sure that the collets and laps wer added latter with some of the original equipment lost, but lanterns will fit into the collets.
