An outstanding example of this well know high precision British instrument / watchmakers lathe. This has had very little use if any and comes with the standard equipment that is supplied when new. This appears to be an early example as it does not have the knurled height adjusting ring on the foot but has instead an extension piece to increase the height if needed. The bed has no marks and the nickle plating has no pits or flaking. Not shown is the foot speed control but we have tested the motor with it and all works well. It even has the original instructions and maintenance sheets and tools for bearing adjustment. this would make an ideal starter lathe for a student.
