JACOBS GEAR HOBBING MACHINE
A very well made and constructed example of this uniqe machine. Made by Mr T Jacobs and featured in the Model engineer from January To August 1976 Castings can still be obtained from the College Engineering Supply. Fortunatly this one is completley finished and functional. Much has been writen regarding the operation of this machine and can be found on the relevant archives. This one comes with a 1/2 hp mains elecric motor driving a 3 speed pully to the main machine. Has one hobb mounted and 5 arbours to be machined for other sizes. Ther are 26 gears including the ones altready on the machine so a wide range of gears can be cut.
