TOS MN80 HIGH PRECISION LATHE
Manufactured by the well know TOS company in Czechoslovakia this is one of the last batch of 30 that came into the UK, these lathes were affectionately known as the Russian LAS ( Lorch ). Built to a very high standard and with robust construction they are considered to be very good value for there price as they come equipped with an astonishing range of accessories as standard. Mounted on a purpose built wooden cabinet with the drive unit housed under the headstock and the accessories held in shelves on the right hand side made for a compact footprint and is ideally suited to the smaller workshop. This one has been fitted with a variable speed inverter drive. This machine is part of the workshop of the Late Maurice Clark who used it for many of his engineering projects. The paint on these lathe`s was not one of its strong points and could benefit from some TLC and a good clean but is in full working order and will give the next owner years of service as the lathe shows very little wear. The lathe is located in Cornwall and collection will need to be arranged with the executors and is bought as seen.
