HAUSER HORIZONTAL VERTICAL MILL
A converted example of what was a precision production mill used in the production of weapons and fuse`s in the last war. They would usually have levers to control the slides to pre-set stops, this one has screw feed to the T slotted table on the Y axis giving 100mm movement, dial is marked imperial. The X axis has 80mm of travel and the Z axis has 50mm of travel. The vertical column can be moved along the main body to vary the start position as can the vertical spindle mount. The spindle quill takes10mm Pultra collets. Drive is from an 1/8 HP 240 volt single phase motor (1425 rpm ) mounted in a swing frame for belt tension with the final drive from a counter shaft . The pulley`s can be moved on the counter shaft to line up with the spindle. This is in full working order but and can be seen running. The machine could do with some additions such as more stops and a table locking screw in the vertical axis. This machine would suit an Horologist ( could be used for wheel and pinion cutting) or fine model maker. This is heavy piece kit so it will be collection only, It will break down for transport in a car. Please call us if you require any further information.
