ACIERA F1 UNIVERSAL PRECISION MILLING MACHINE
Here we have an early imperial example of this much sought after miller favored by horologists and fine model makers the world over. This one will require striping down for cleaning and a re-paint to get it back to the condition when new. The motor is three phase and in running order. The quill does not have any play but we would suggest stripping and cleaning before running as the oil may have oxidized over the period of time that this machine has been standing. The handles and lead screws are not bent, the vertical rear screws seem to have little backlash, the table screw has slight backlash. All the slides are in good order. The electrics will need a rewire, the original socket that is mounted at the rear of the machine is intact but there was no plug fitted to the motor. we have inspected the reduction box gear and no teeth are missing on the gears and the fast and slow speed changer works well. we think that some of the accessories may have been added latter. The following come with the machine:- Swivel support, Tilting table, Direct dividing apparatus with quill and support arbor with 60 division plate, Vertical milling support. Not shown is a fast traverse lever for the table slide and 18 W12 collets (Imperial ). The Inside doors are fitted out to take the accessories, the wood on these will need cleaning and re-varnishing. An ideal project to bring it up to its former glory. This is to be sold as seen so it is cash on collection after inspection. Please call us if you require any further information.
